Community Service Committee Co-Chair Sorayya Aminian is a Nowruz baby, born on March 21, 1988. After graduating from the International Community School in Kirkland, she is a freshman at the University of Washington. Having grown up in a multi-cultural home (her mother is American, her father Iranian), Sorayya has gained a feeling of pride for her Persian culture, and strives to discover more about it, embrace it, absorb it, and enlighten others with it. She also enjoys the art of photography, travel, dance, music and foreign films. Sorayya plans to enrich her Iranian roots by studying the Persian language at UW. |
